The Amityville Horror - Making Of Featurette

2:30 - Ryan explains that he acts through drama rather than horror. He says that it wasn't about the horror for him but the psychological break down of George Lutz.

4:16 - He wanted to be the complete opposite from the kids that costarred in the movie. When he would stand next to them he wanted to look imposing and powerful.

5:01 Explains how he didn't want to get to know the kids during the making of the film as it would have been even harder during the more scarier sceneor when he had to be more aggressive or abusive.

5:48 - He states that he was "mortified" at how the character was and how this made him act towards the children whilst filming the scenes of the movie.

Just Friends - Making Of Featurette

1:56 - Explains that it took him 3 hours to have his prosthetics done. Refers to this as an "ordeal".

Useful Websites

IMDB - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005351/

This is an incredibly useful website as it has an entire filmography for Reynolds with descriptions, trailers and interviews for a vast number of Ryan's movies.

Empire Online - http://www.empireonline.com/interviews/interview.asp?IID=223

This is a very useful article in which I found an interview taken just before the release of "The Amityville Horror" in April 2005. During the interview Reynolds describes the change in the type of movies and why he chose to pursue a serious role as apposed to another comedic role. Reynolds describes how he tapped into playing the role of George Lutz and also different techniques used to help him into the role and the genre.
